Gift vouchers

If you want to arrange a session as a gift for someone else we sell vouchers. To purchase a voucher please go to our online shop.

A Gift Voucher buys a hands-on instructional flight in a two-seater glider with dual controls.

Where the club is unable to carry out aerotow launches on any particular date then the voucher holder will be offered the alternative of a winch launch (in this case a 2nd flight will be offered where the 1st flight is less than 10 minutes duration)

The voucher is valid for twelve months.

The flight will last anything up to about 30 minutes depending on weather conditions on the day.

An information pack (the Club, gliding, how to find us etc.) is sent with the Gift Voucher.

Virtually anyone who is able to learn to drive a car can learn to fly a glider. Gliders are limited in the height and weight of people they can carry – no more than 1.95m (6ft 5in) and 102kg (16 stones).

The Club reserve the right not to fly anyone outside these limits.

If it is for a birthday or special occasion please let us know the date and we will issue the voucher from that date.

The prices for visitor flights whether by voucher or paid directly are as follows:

Aerotow flight to 2000’ and 20 minutes flying NB This can be purchased online through our website under “shop”.	£130
Evening group flying (winch only per flight)	£47.50 £37.50 (under 18)

Corporate Events

We provide corporate ‘Gliding Experience Days’ which is a unique way for a company to make it’s customers, employees and suppliers feel valued! These packages are bespoke and are tailored to your own requirements, but typically include exclusive use of the airfield and its facilities, breakfast, your own hospitality marquee, unlimited refreshments, full buffet lunch, a mix of winch and aerotows, and a souvenir of your day! Booking your flights

Individual visitor flights normally take place at weekends from April to September and we limit them to four per day. These must be pre-booked so that we can arrange for a British Gliding Association Instructor to be available to give you a short introduction to gliding including a safety briefing, before taking you for your flight(s). To make an individual flight booking, head to our online shop.
